1. Introduction to mould making: basic knowledge you require

A competent mould designer must have a thorough knowledge of the

principles of mould making as the design of the various parts of the mould

depends on the technique adopted for its manufacture.

I had mentioned some content of machining process. Please go through it, before moving further.

Machining process:

shapping,Casting, electro-deposition, cold hobbing. pressure casting and

Spark,milling machine.lathe,injection machine.

 2. General way of mould construction

The injection mould is an assembly of parts containing within  an 'impression' into which plastic material is injected and cooled.

Cavity & core : cavity gives the external shape and core gives internal. 

Sprue bush : during injection process the plastic material is passed through machine to sprue .

the material that passes through it is called sprue and the bush is called sprue bush.
